JP Diamond Ring Customization Process

Each of our rings are individually handcrafted by our Master Crafter, where we are able to provide you a full customization service! From the material and design of the band to the intricacy of the prong head, everything can be customized to your preference!

In this video, we'll walk through with you of what to expect and how we can go about to customize your perfect ring!

1. After you have selected your diamond, we would scan it into our Sarin machine which would give us a virtual dimension of your exact diamond.

2. A 3D render of your ring design will be created with your virtual diamond, with a 360 degrees view of your design. The 3D render can be further revised to your preference.

3. When you have selected your final 3D render, we may superimpose your diamond ring on to your partner's hand. This will allow you to visualize how your diamond and ring design will look on her finger! You may check out more about our superimpose technology here.

4. If you would like, we may use your 3D render file to create a wax mold of your ring! This will give you a physical feel and view of how your ring design will look in real life. You may read out more about our Revo wax machine here.

A Customized Solitaire Diamond Ring with Wings

The sky's the limit for our ring customization services. All of our ring customization services comes with complimentary 3D renders where we'll create a realistic 3D image of your ring design, based on your diamond and finger proportions. This will give you a realistic view of your ring design in various angles.

We were approached by a client to customise a solitaire wing designed ring for his partner. He selected a Super Ideal Cut diamond, which is known for its outstanding fire and brilliance (as you can see in the video below). The wings was done in rose gold, while we left the band in white gold to highlight that features of the design and to bring out the intricate feather details of the ring.

In our first 3D render, we created a draft below to get a rough idea of the overall look and feel of the ring. We made the feathers overlaying each other, with the outline of the wings following the contour of the band.

After some brainstorming and a few tweaks, we ended up with the finalized design below!
To make the wings more realistic, we modelled it to look as it is flapping upwards towards the sky. The feathers and wings was made longer to highlight the detailing of each feather, giving the whole ring a realistic appearance.

Have a look at the video below and see how the finshed ring turned out!

A Customised Proposal Ring with Pave Side Diamonds

There are many ways to customise your ring to have it more meaningful and symbolic to you and your partner. Edward approached me back in early 2016 to help him cutomise his perfect proposal ring. He chose a Super Ideal Cut diamond, which known for its amazing light performance aka bling. After all, who wouldn't want a super sparkly diamond? :)

He put alot of effort and thought in his ring design, and shared with us on the small little details and hidden messages he wanted to incorporate into his ring. On the side profile view, a carefully designed "R" is done to represent a boy and a girl, holding hands and kissing. This was meant to be an abstract design to symbolize this, while keeping the elegantly designed.

After some discussion and several tweaks, we came up with his 3D render to give a preview of his ring! Using the diamond he selected, we laser scanned it into our program, which allowed us to use the same dimensions of his diamond into the 3D render. This gives us a realistic view of his ring's overall proportions. This is very useful for those who have a tough time visualising their ring.
Notice the heart shape tip prongs?

Using the 3D render, we proceeded to handcraft his ring.
Below is the finished product!

Here's a close up video  :)

"The actual proposal was actually done at the peak of Rainbow Mountain in Cusco, Peru :) It was 5000 ft above sea level. I showed her a self-made video when we reached the peak, and placed the RnR ring in a custom made book ring box just like the same as in "Up" cartoon movie. After she finished watching the video with the theme : "Our Adventure Book", i kneel down and propose to her. Here are some great photos of the actual proposal ðŸ˜Š Thanks for sharing the photo of the ring with rainbow backdrop at the Iguazu Fall. We saw the clear rainbow, and it reminded us of the beautiful 121017 moments at the Rainbow Mountain ðŸ˜Š"- Edward Ding

A Classic Solitaire Diamond Ring

Classic solitaire ring designs are always one of the most popular ring design as they are timeless and easy to match with wedding bands. If you're wondering if you should go for 4 or 6 prongs ring designs, you can check out here.

For now, we'll be showcasing a classic solitaire 4 prongs proposal ring. We added a special touch to this by creating a cathedral setting (the 2 triangle holes on the side). This gives the appearance that the main diamond is elevated, where you want the main focus to be! Also, we kept the side profile view of the prong head clean, where you're able to see the complete side view of the main diamond.

Here's a video of it! The main diamond is a Super Ideal Cut 0.71 G VS2. Enjoy!

A Customised Solitaire Proposal Ring for Aivin

Aivin approached us to customise his proposal ring, with the inspiration of creating his very own engagement ring design. Although he didn't manage to visit our jewelry store in Singapore as he was located in Malaysia, all communications was done over email. This was a smooth and easy process where we managed to shortlist a diamond in his specifications and provide its scope images online.

Aivin created his own unique design from sketches, and forwarded them to us. This was a straight forward approach, where we simply followed his drawings and created a 3D render. From the side view, the prong head has a heart shape filigree. From his original design, we further customized additional filigrees in the cathedral gaps of the band. Overall, it gave the ring an intricate and whimsical look. From the top view, its shows a simple classic 6 prongs solitaire proposal ring, while on the sides, it reveals an intricate story.

Once the 3D render was approved, we proceeded to handcraft his ring with end product below. Each of our rings are individually handcrafted by our Mastercrafter. The beauty to this is that it gives the ring an organic look where the diamond and ring design complements each other.

We expedited his ring be be handcrafted before his proposal trip at Mount Fuji. Aivin shared with us some of his proposal and engagement ring photos below.

Proposal at Mount Fuji

and some amazing diamond ring handshots.

Aivin's advice for the lads would be: "The satisfactions of designing your own ring is exquisite, you will notice small details  about your partner and what suits her most, and knowing she deserve the one and only design in this world because she is the special one. So, Just Do It! "

Mr Chong's Ring Customization Journey

When Mr Chong approached us, he was looking to customize a unique and meaningful ring for his partner. Before visiting us, he knew he wanted the Solasfera  (91 facets, 10 Hearts & Arrows) diamond cut for its light performance. The Solasfera easily outshines other round cuts with its extreme scintilliation effect (for more information, click here).

He wanted to customize a plain setting with engravings on the side, while having their initials "W" on the filigrees. A story he shared with us was about how his girlfriend was his sun, ever-lasting and ever-bright, always bringing happiness to his life. Hence, he wanted to add this story into the ring to make it meaningful.

This is where we brainstormed to include an orange sapphire on the tubeto of the ring! The orange color of the sapphire would represent the sun. We handpicked the sapphires, that had the best color and proportions, ensuring they're suitable to fit into the tubeto.

Finally, after several rounds of discussions and tweaks, we finalized on the ring design. Below is the 3D render that we provided, next to the finished ring. All our of ring customization comes with a 3D render which allows you to visualize the end product of your design.

If you look carefully at the orange sapphire at the tubeto, you'll notice that the sapphire is sorrounded by rose gold milgrains. The rose gold helps to bring out the color of the orange sapphire, while the milgrain patterns represents the sun rays!

Alot of thoughts are put into every ring customization, where every small details is taken into account.
At the bottom 1/4 part of the ring, we kept it plain, to allow future ring re-sizing, if needed.

After receiving his ring, Mr Chong planned out a road trip where he successfully proposed!
Below are some photos that he shared with us.

Unboxing a Solasfera Ring

Here's a video of us unboxing a Solasfera diamond ring!

The Solasfera is a 91 faceted diamond with 10 Hearts & Arrows. It has higher facets than the traditional 57 faceted rounds, giving it an extreme amount of scintillation where you'll notice a crazy amount of sparkles throughout the diamond. Watch towards the end of the video, where we brought the diamond outdoors under sunlight!

The ring design is a custom setting, with melee diamonds on the under bridge. Each melee diamond is sorrounded by milgrains to highlight and bring out the detailings of the ring. The main diamond is mounted on a 4 prongs setting, designed and oriented to allow an unblocked view of the main stone. This gives the ring a clean and sleek look and give the appearance that the main diamond is higher.

Below is the 3d render of the ring design, which comes with all of our ring customization works.

Unboxing a Cushion Brellia on an Engraving Ring Design

This is a video of me unboxing a Cushion Brellia diamond on a custom ring design.

The Cushion Brellia is the World's first Cushion Hearts & Arrows diamond. Generally, fancy shape diamonds such as the cushion, princess, heart shape, pear shape, etc. do not have Hearts & Arrows patterns. As a result, their brilliance is often lacking due to the weak light performance. Unlike other fancy shape diamonds, the Cushion Brellia is a revolutionary cut which manages to retain the Hearts & Arrows, which gives it an extroardinary brilliance. We can confidently say, the  Brellia is the most Ideal square cut and the highest light perfoming Cushion diamond in the world!

So that's the diamond. So what about the setting? The ring is handcrafted with each engraving individually carved out by hand. On the side of the engravings, are milgrains (small round beads), adding a nice touch to the ring. The diamond is securely mounted on a 4 prongs setting. The prong head is designed like a "V" shape to bring out the beuty of the main stone.

Here are some photos of the ring,

Each of our rings are individually handcrafted. Our customized rings comes with realistic 3D renders, where we're able to render out your ring designs on a finger of your size. This gives you realistic and accurate impression of how your final ring would be.

Cushion diamond with trapezoid side stones

For this ring unboxing video, we customized a ring design with 2 trapezoid side diamonds with asscher cut melee diamonds on the band. The trapezoid and asscher cut diamonds are both step-cut diamonds but in different shapes. It complements the centre cushion brilliant diamond, giving the ring a majestic and victorian flair.

For all of our custom ring designs, it comes with 3d renders to help visualize your end product. Using a Sarin scanner, we laser scan your diamond into our software where our program will capture its dimensions. From there, we would design your ring to the same proportions and turn your dream ring into a reality!

Here's how the 3d render compared to the end product,

Ring designs with a twist of inspriation!

Thinking of adding a twist design to your ring? Check out some of these ring designs to inspire you! Our ring customizations comes with 3D renders, where we will create your ring design proportional to your main diamond size and ring finger. We can even render out a hand model to be the same size as yours to help you visualize how your ring design will look on your hand!

When most people thing of twist design rings, they think of a simple curved band with a twist, and that's all to it. However, there are many variations of twist designs out there and there are ways you can customize it to your personality!

Below are some twist design 3D renders for you to explore.

This is a double band twist design, where each band has a rope twist effect.
It gives an organic and lacy feel to the ring, and have lots of fine detailing. Girls that love whimsical designs will fall in love with this at first sight!

A variation of the earlier ring, with some melee diamonds on one of the band. This gives an extra bling to your ring and will be a head turner. There are many ways to spice up your ring design by adding melee diamonds on certain areas. Another option is to add diamonds on tray of the prong head.

Want something cleaner? This is a gorguous wavy twist design that will bring out your diamond!
It has a smooth cross over near the upper mid-section of the band. The melee diamonds are set in a channel style to give the ring a cleaner look. Overall, the band creates an infinity symbol ∞, adding more meaning to your ring.

This is definitely one of my favourites! It has assyemtrical curves on the band, which looks like sea waves! I love the intricate detailing on this and it showcases our fine workmanship vey well. If you notice, even the prongs that is holding the main diamond has the wave effect. The diamond is set on a cathedral setting, where there are 2 triangle arches giving the appearance that the diamond sits higher.
There was alot of thought and love that was put into designing this ring :)

Want both bands with side diamonds? No problem! We are able to customize a double band twist with channel set diamonds. This is slightly different from regular twist designs as the band curves at the end towards the diamond. This gives a lacy bow effect and from the top view, it creates a beutiful silhoutte of your ring.

This ring design has a victorian flair to it. The band looks knotted by strategically placing a bezel melee diamond on each of the cross over section. If you want to bring it out even more, we can have the circumference of the bezel done in rose gold! On the side profile, you'll find another melee diamond (tubeto) under the main diamond. Add more personality to this by changing it to a gemstone or bithstone of your choice.

Fancy a bigger ring with larger proportions? This might be the one for you. There are many intertwined twists that gradually moves up towards your main diamond. Although this ring has a broader width, the smooth and elegantly twisted bands gives the ring a soft and feminine feel. You may customize this ring further by changing the prong tips to heart shapes!

A double band rope twist ring that tapers from thin to thick towards the main diamond. This gradual accentuating effect will draw everyone's attention to your main diamond and will highlight your diamond's size. A perfect design for every day wearing and to glamourous events!

So there you go guys! These are just some of the many ways you can design your own twist ring. There are still many variations avaiable that we are happy to share with you. Don't be afraid to customize your ring and adding your own personality to it. It's much easier than you think! During our diamond and ring design education session, we will guide you along the way :)
